Thai culture generally dictates that when born an infant is bestowed with a nickname usually relating to something memorable about the new-born or their family. The owner of Nuad Bo-Rarn, whose proper name is Weethana is better known as Nin (meaning; a dark gemstone like spinel, sapphire, or onyx) due to her dark coloured skin. Nin has over 1000 hours of training in a variety of massage types including hot stone, cupping, relaxation and of course traditional Thai. Don't be misled by Nin's diminutive stature.. If you ask for a hard massage, you had better be prepared!
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
Thai Warrior Massage is a specialized massage style combining elements of yoga with traditional Thai massage. Nin recently spent a week undertaking an intensive live-in training course under the tutelage of world renowned Thai Warrior Massage instructor Jack Shaman. Requiring a minimum session time of 90 minutes you will work in tandem with Nin through a series of positions that simultaneously subject muscles and tendons to deep tissue massage as they are slowly stretched. This technique has been shown to provide rapid recovery and as the name suggests has been in practice for hundreds of years as a therapy for injured soldiers.
Traditional Thai Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
Cupping uses the vacuum seal of the cup against the body to provide the pressure on muscles and tendons.. When the cup is moved across the skin, the seal holding it on provides the pressure. The goal of a cupping session is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Cupping A relaxation massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins and increases oxygen levels in the blood.
Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Traditional Thai Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to sooth, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress.
